This article will explain how to set up your character on the MUCK. If you have already made an account using the forums, your character is already made, and you can skip the first section of the article. The rest will tell you how to edit your character's profile, which you can also do on the main site in the profiles section. Information on that can be found here.

Requesting a Character

To request a new character, whether when making your first character, type the following command:

request <name>=<password>=<e-mail>

Fill in the above blanks, not using brackets. The name cannot have spaces, nor can it be already used by another character.

Character Profile

To start editing your character's profile, type editplayer. You may also use the profile editor on the main website.

Description

Press 2 to edit your character's description. When asked if you wish to use a MPI-based description, say yes. In the editor that appears, enter in the following: ".del 1 ." (without the quotes). This will clear out your description so you can create a new one. You can do this any time you want to make a new description for your character.

Sex

Press 3 to change your character's sex.

Species

Press 4 to change your character's species.

Home

Press 6 to change your home location.

Smell

Press 9 to change your smell message. This is what other characters smell when they sniff your character.

Speak

This just changes what you or other people see when your character talks, so that you can use something other than "say" or "says".

Since the RP System has been deprecated as of 2009, you do not need to set up your character's sheet. You can go ahead and RP!
