Events of 2007
Foreward ( March 2007–October 2007 )
After the defeat of Necro, a group of kitsune called the Kitsune Secret Service (or KSS for short) was formed. One of the members of the KSS had discovered S'Fyra-isola, and found out that it was inhabited by refugees from S'Fyra whom had fled from Necro's tyrannical rule. After finding out that Necro had been defeated, the S'Fyrians returned home to find it in ruin. They started to rebuild their villages with the help of the KSS and other Vultopians.
As they were recovering the destroyed villages, a mysterious being had killed several S'Fyrians. A KSS member named Kaela investigated this, and soon found the killer. Kaela was killed in front of two other KSS members, and the killer declared that he was the power behind Necro and that he would do a better job of ruling over S'Fyra.
Meanwhile, on Vultopia, a kitsune who fed off of all kinds of energy was attacking civilians on Kitsune Island. This kitsune revealed her name to be Aurelia, and that she was one of the servants of the killer from S'Fyra, whose name was Yamuki. Aurelia soon captured Chibi, and Samui arrived to rescue her. Samui also encountered Yamuki, who claimed that he wanted Samui executed for regicide. Yamuki proceeded to manipulate Chibi using dark energy, and gave Samui to her to do whatever she wanted with him.
With the help of Hydra, Chibi was returned to normal. The two took cover in Lunar's house, where Lunar told Samui about a wolf/fox hybrid named Ryousei who wanted revenge on Yuki, and that Ryousei intended to capture Samui for reasons unknown. Soon after, Aurelia arrived again to attack Samui, Chibi, and Lunar. Ryousei showed up at the scene, and watched the battle while keeping her eye on Samui. After a long chase, Ryousei and Aurelia had a discussion about keeping servants in line. Yamuki appeared during the conversation, and told Ryousei that he didn't feel it was worth much effort on a child. The conversation continued, and after a while, Ryousei decided to join Yamuki.
For a few months after this, everything went silent on both Vultopia and S'Fyra. During this time, the villages on S'Fyra were mostly rebuilt. Lunar learned that she had a daughter named Moonlight whose whereabouts were unknown, and portals between Earth and Vultopia began to open in various locations.
Breaking the Silence ( October 2007–December 2007 )
While Samui, Chibi, and a few others were talking in Azure Forest one night, a dark kitsune by the name of BlackLightKon arrived, claiming that she had returned in search of a green kitsune by the name of Minoru. When Chibi said she didn't know his location, BlackLightKon proceeded to insult Minoru's parenting skills and made an offer to adopt her. This angered Chibi enough to lash out at her. BlackLightKon restrained Chibi with a claw while discussing her plans with Nadir, who claimed her plans to be short sighted. After causing Chibi to lose consciousness, BlackLightkon vanished, promising to return "soon".
Two days later, a mysterious cloaked being showed up while Lunar and Technic were discussing how they were going to find their daughter. Eventually, this being took off her cloak, revealing herself to be the one they were looking for - Moonlight. Right at that moment, BlackLightKon arrived again, this time revealing part of her true motive - to breed with Minoru and make a "black family" to take over Kitsune Island. She also stated that Minoru wasn't the only one she wanted, and demonstrated her abilities, noteably by entering Moonlight's body in an attempt to take her over. She left, saying that she was merely demonstrating. She then disappeared once again.
That night, Samui led a search party for Minoru, and decided to try looking in S'Fyra, his last known location. He took a wrong turn, and stumbled upon a portal to Earth, finding out that 33 years had passed since he left. They met a pixie fox named Alynna and were treated to sushi and green tea. They rested there, and returned to Vultopia in the morning, Samui leaving a note for Alynna saying she could follow if she wanted to. He took the correct turn this time, and upon arriving on S'Fyra, they found out from Murasaki that Minoru's location is inaccessable. BlackLightKon appeared once again, but this time in an attempt to capture Samui, after having found out that he was Yuki's son and a co-conspirator of Necro's "murder". Murasaki intervened, sending Samui's group back home to Vultopia.
A week later, Alynna showed up at Samui's house, and soon was accepted into his and Pyrova's family as a mate.
Events of 2008
Chaos ( March 15–April 5 )
The news had spread on Vultopia about attacks from a group of S'Fyrians who had been brainwashed. Most of these attacks were on S'Fyra-isola, where the refugees were staying once again. But some were also happening on Kitsune Island. According to the KSS, these attackers were searching for "the ones responsible for Murasaki's death" and will stop at nothing to get their vengeance.
A group in Azure Forest formed to discuss a plan to fix the brainwashed. While they were talking, several new faces had arrived: a young kitsune named Coaldust, an anthromorphic hedgehog who guarded a portal temple on Earth (Sirus), and a squirrel named Sage. There was also a lupine creature by the name of Bewul.
Coaldust asked Samui and Pyrova how they were going to stop the attacks from the brainwashed S'Fyrians. Samui said they should attack the ones responsible for the brainwashing - Yamuki and BlackLightkon. His plan was to allow them to capture him, since he was wanted for regicide - and others should be able to be taken with him. Pyrova and Cyan both objected to this, stating it would be too risky. Cyan said that they should let the two show up to them, rather than the other way around, stating that if their [BlackLightkon and Yamuki] servants cannot capture Samui, they would definitely come to capture him themselves.
After that, Sapphire, a mute kitsune, walked into the conversation, and drew on the ground her ideas for dealing with the enemies. She diagrammed and demonstrated that illusions could be used to break the brainwashed free from their influence. With that, she offered her help, and was accepted.
As the group was about to head up north to deal with the brainwashed S'Fyrians (figuring that they'd be at Samui's house, knowing where he lives and all), Moonlight was running from Ryousei, who had followed her soon after. Ryousei was about to capture Samui, when Sapphire made him seem to vanish. Ryousei got pissed off and headed off to attend to "other things".
After that situation was handled, the group resumed their trip up north to Hisaku, where Samui lived. And surely enough, there were S'Fyrians there waiting to take Samui prisoner. They had also captured his sister Shuuriku. The leader of these S'Fyrians, whose name is Masajiro, said that Shuuriku's life would be spared, if Samui were to go with them peacefully.
With the dilemma at hand, Samui needed to come up with a plan, and fast. It was decided that he would use an alternate entrance to the house, using his size shifting abilities to shrink to a small enough size to use it, and ambush the ones actually holding Shuuriku captive. With the help of Sapphire, Samui was able to pull this off without Masajiro noticing.
They succesfully rescued Shuuriku, leaving Masajiro and two other S'Fyrians trapped in an illusion crafted by Sapphire - a maze of twisty passages, all alike.
Everyone was about ready to head out from the Shiiba residence, when BlackLightKon arrived, to take Samui. Soon after, a bird-like creature (Nadir) descended to the ground, to see what was going on. He offered his services, for a price, and immediately, BlackLightKon hired him to assist in the capture of Samui. Nadir eventually convinced Samui to let BlackLightKon take him, by taking Moonlight hostage. Fearing for her life, Samui decided to go along. BlackLightKon told Nadir she would discuss her plans for him in private. Meanwhile, on Earth, Ryousei found a new minion named Katrina to help her in her efforts of capturing Samui and taking over Kitsune Island.
Initiative ( April 6–May 12 )
Ryousei and Katrina both returned to Vultopia, in search of Samui. They may find him soon, as he had returned from his imprisonment after having been beaten and branded, to retrieve some fresh biscuits that would be used for rewards of obedience. He was given a curfew by Blacklightkon, which he had chosen to violate in order to heal himself, and form a plan to free Moonlight from her prison as well as defeating BlackLightkon. They would soon find that their enemies don't work well together, and that the whole time, Yamuki and Ryousei were mere pawns.
